Unbeknownst to many, Märzen is no longer the traditional beer of Oktoberfest in Germany. In its place is Festbier—a rich yellow lager that’s medium bodied with floral/herbal hop aromas. The light bready malt character need not be contemplated—just celebrated. Pairs well with roasted chicken.
