Storm Stayed Brewing Co. offers our local community an airy open environment in which to explore the diversity of craft beer and those who enjoy it. Situated between Old South and The Coves neighbourhoods, our taproom is welcoming to all—we are both accessible and family-friendly. Our small kitchen offers a variety of causal foods that complement the range of flavours found in our beers. We emphasize the use of locally-sourced ingredients to prepare items from scratch. We are particularly proud of the house-cured and prepared selections for our charcuterie program.

We are currently seeking a Chef to join us full time.

Position Summary:

As Chef, you are responsible for ensuring that high quality and consistently delicious food is created within the Storm Stayed kitchen.


  • Development of menus, recipes, and standards for the food program at Storm Stayed

  • Production and maintenance of the food program at Storm Stayed

  • Overseeing line cooks and others that may assist in the kitchen

  • Procurement of food and kitchen supplies

  • Ensure readiness for service through stocking and prepping

  • Monitor inventory and ensure product is properly rotated

  • Keep kitchen area clean in accordance to back of house standards

  • Follow all health and safety standards regarding food storage and preparation

  • Dishwashing and general kitchen organization 

  • Other duties as assigned by the owners or Taproom Manager


  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a restaurant kitchen 

  • Experience with charcuterie considered an asset

  • Management experience is an asset

  • Food Handler Certification required

  • A personal vehicle for procurement is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to cover taproom hours of operation, in addition to required preparation

  • Ability to cover special events

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs
